At 2,173 meters above sea level, within the Skyway Monte Bianco, La Tana delle Marmotte (Marmot’s Den) has opened to the public: an entirely underground educational and recreational facility that reproduces a marmot’s den, revealing its behavior, diet, hibernation, and seasonal cycles. A complex project that combines technical precision, narrative vision, and a challenging construction.
Rimani contributed to making the project more experiential by integrating a custom-made lighting solution: Flexi2020, a soft, uniform line of ceiling light, perfectly integrated into the interior and designed to highlight a unique underground environment.
Flexi2020 is made of chlorine-resistant polyurethane, an eco-friendly material that is UV-resistant, salt-, acid-, and alkali-resistant, and flame-retardant.
Rimani’s intervention enhances the space and leads visitors into an immersive atmosphere, making the experience inside the structure even more engaging.
