Rimani illuminates the prestigious Palazzo Spinola in Genoa, taking on a significant lighting challenge that required care and respect for cultural heritage: enhancing the evocative private chapels located within the niches of the historic rooms, while respecting the absolute constraint of not drilling into or damaging the wall decorations.
To combine heritage protection with design effectiveness, Rimani chose to use Grafite, a 3-meter-high self-supporting floor lamp featuring an integrated electrified track on which four Solar projectors were installed. Solar is a single-source LED projector with natural light covering the entire visible spectrum—a best-in-class product with sophisticated features: accurate color rendering, exceptional vividness of whites, high intensity, and extraordinary uniformity and beam effectiveness.
The position of the Solar spotlights is easily adjustable. This solution allows the projectors to be moved and repositioned along the track without the need for tools or specialized personnel, making it possible to vary the lighting effect according to specific needs. The result is a flexible and non-invasive accent lighting system, capable of enhancing artistic details while ensuring total protection of the original architecture.
