From the Rimani Award, which celebrates three museum excellences, to the FiBra2025 project exhibited at Palazzo Castiglioni in the headquarters of Confcommercio Milano – Lodi – Monza e Brianza
The tenth edition of Milano Museo City is underway, the event promoted by the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with the MuseoCity ETS Association dedicated to enhancing the city’s museum heritage, which until March 15, 2026, in conjunction with the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, celebrates this year the courage and determination that unite art and sport.
Rimani is for the second consecutive year the technical partner of the event for the “Museo Segreto” section, from February 27 to March 5, and from this year has established the Rimani Award, aimed at selecting and rewarding three exhibition projects with a specially designed lighting system, with the purpose of enhancing some of the works participating in Museo Segreto.
The 2026 winners are: the Assimpredil ANCE association with “Grande bassorilievo” by Arnaldo Pomodoro; the Francesco Garnier Valletti Pomological Collection of the University of Milan consisting of 1,674 specimens of artificial fruits from 1872; and the MusAB – Brera Astronomical Museum with “Wooden model of Boscovich’s observatory in Palazzo Brera” (1764-65) and with the Telescope of the Brera Astronomical Observatory in Milan.
At the headquarters of the Assimpredil ANCE association, to illuminate the “Grande bassorilievo” by Arnaldo Pomodoro and at MusAb with the “Wooden model of Boscovich’s observatory in Palazzo Brera” (1764-65) and with the Telescope of the Brera Astronomical Observatory, Rimani has installed the Solar product, in four model variants.
Solar is a single LED source projector, with natural light that covers the entire visible spectrum. It is a best-in-class element characterized by accurate color rendering with exceptional white vividness, high intensity, and extraordinary beam uniformity and effectiveness.
LED sources with three-phosphor technology with violet emission produce a continuous spectrum, complete in red and cyan frequencies, perfect for all colors: a natural-looking light, essential for the true color rendering of a work of art.
Specifically, at Assimpredil ANCE, Solar 100 with base complete with magnetic elliptical lenses and anti-glare Louver has been positioned, while at Musab the models Solar 60 with adapter, complete with magnetic lenses and anti-glare Louver and Solar compact 60 complete with autonomous power supply system and magnetic lenses and anti-glare Louver are present. For the Telescope, Solar with the autonomous battery Kit has been applied.
At the University of Milan to illuminate the Francesco Garnier Valletti Pomological Collection of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Rimani has installed a custom-made linear Longitudinal module with solar light, to enhance and highlight the colors and ensure uniform and faithful illumination. The light allows the enhancement of nuances, material details, and the chromatic variety of the artificial fruits.
THE FIBRA2025 PROJECT AT CONFCOMMERCIO HEADQUARTERS
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Milano MuseoCity, the event hosts among its special projects the exhibition “Beyond the podium: shots, history and art“, exhibited from February 12 to 17 in the spaces of Palazzo Castiglioni made available by Confcommercio Milano – Lodi – Monza e Brianza.
The initiative features the exhibition of objects and works of art related to the world of sport and the Olympic spirit, as well as archival and current photographic material from the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics.
In this context is also the FiBra2025 project, the Torch and Cauldron created for the XXXII FISU World University Games Winter Torino 2025, a project promoted by the Polytechnic University of Turin and in which Rimani was involved as a partner for the creation of the lighting systems.
