The collaboration between our company and the Museum of 18th Century Venice “Ca’ Rezzonico” continues, which reopened its doors to the public at the end of last June.
The new interventions
The entire area, subject to the renovation completed and inaugurated last July 3rd (the Ferruccio Mestrovich collection rooms and the overlying first floor), underwent a technical and technological modernization of the lighting system, in continuity with the already renewed lighting of the third and fourth floor rooms: a system consisting of fixtures with state-of-the-art LED sources, with very high color rendering (Ra-98/R9-98@3000K) and interchangeable optical systems, magnetic and self-centering.
All of this is managed through a wireless system, with BLE protocol (Bluetooth Low Energy), which allows for “dynamic” control of the system: through the use of simple presence detectors installed at each entrance, the system detects the presence of visitors in the rooms and, in their absence, autonomously lowers the lighting levels on the artworks to 2% of the normal operating level: the environments remain consistently illuminated, but with a substantial energy saving (-98%) and, importantly, the artworks benefit from a significant reduction in harmful radiation emitted (already very low in LED sources), contributing to their preservation.
Fixtures and accessories have been designed to integrate with the complete respect for the environments, which retain their residential and historical dimension. An example is the shelf lamps in the Mestrovich collection rooms, designed with contemporary lines but inspired by past forms.
